Director’s Statement
BIRDHOUSE was created as a final project for a graduate course at Georgia State University. This film explores my own relationship with my father while I attempt to build a birdhouse. Shooting and creating this film during a year where we could not physically collaborate with others like how we’re used to required a new level of introspection within my work. As an unskilled builder and unskilled adult, I found myself embracing what it means to struggle when I tried to create something.
